Who Am I?

I am member of LAPI Laboratory - The Image Processing and Analysis Laboratory, on Department of Applied Electronics and Information Engineering, Faculty of Electronics, Telecommunications and Information Technology from University Politehnica of Bucharest - Romania.

Currently, I am a PhD student under the supervision of Professor Radu Dogaru. My PhD topic is Content Based Image Retrieval using Relevance Feedback algorithms. Relevance feedback is an essential component of a CBIR system and means the immediate, explicit assessment of the appropriateness of the original query results by the user. The CBIR then integrates the user feedback by means of the modification of the query feature vector, or of the similarity distance. The integration of RF can be viewed as the adaptation of the image retrieval to the specific user and task.

I have graduated Polytechnic University of Bucharest, Faculty of Electronics and Telecommunications in June 2009. Then, I have continued my academic career with a master of "Databases - Support for Business" at Bucharest Academy of Economic Studies, Cybernetics Faculty. I have graduated with a maximum grade for my dissertation project "Content based image Retrieval in Building Recognition". After finishing the faculty, during my PhD studies, I was involved in different research projects with LAPI Laboratory, under the guidance on professors: Bogdan Ionescu, Constantin Vertan and Radu Dogaru.
Now, I'm finishing my PhD research in a six months intership at University of Trento, Italy.
